'Toe Shoes' Update

This morning I woke up without any pain and only some very minor stiffness in my ankles and the tops of my feet. So, I decided to run in my 'toe shoes' again today. I completed another 4.5 mile run, and this run felt even better than yesterday's run. Also, this run included hills (whereas for the first run in my 'toe shoes' I specifically chose a flat course) and the hills were very easy to run in these shoes. I say the hills were actually easier to run in the 'toe shoes' as your feet/heels hit with a different strike than with traditional running shoes; to me, it seems like this foot/heel strike works better. My time is still about 10 sec/mile slower than usual, but maybe it is just a slow weekend for me or maybe it will take me getting used to running in this type of shoe. Either way, I really like running in these shoes and have officially been converted to minimalist/barefoot running. If anyone is thinking whether or not minimalist/barefoot running is for them, I say to try it out and see!
