Success!!

So, my first run in my 'toe shoes' (as I call them) was very successful. I completed all 4.5 miles, and the run was close to my usual time, but a little slower by about 10 sec/mile. I chalk up the slower pace to not being used to running in 'toe shoes'.

The shoes felt really great to run in. Simply - it felt like running with 'my whole foot' (if that makes sense) as opposed to just the heels and balls of my feet. Also, there were many times when running in traditional running shoes that I felt as if I was running on the sides of my feet (favoring the outside), but in my 'toe shoes' I feel as if I am placing my foot firmly on the ground from heel, to arch, to ball, to all 5 toes.

So far, I am not sore and there are no injuries. If I don't wake up tomorrow in sore-muscle paralysis, I may be a convert to minimalist running :)
