A Rainy Mexican Vacation

In late October, we went to Cancun for a Mexican vacation.  It was hurricane season, and we expected a little rain.  Unfortunately, it rained the whole time.  I think there was about an hour or two each day where it was only overcast with no rain, but the whole rest of the day it was raining if not pouring.

As you can imagine, we were a little bummed to miss out on our beach vacation, but the staff did a great job of keeping you entertained indoors.  We played lots of Mexican Bingo, and I won big time! I won a bottle of Tequila (which we sipped on for a few nights), a bottle of wine (not even opened as it was all inclusive anyways), a souvenir shot glass and a silver ring.  WOO HOO :)

Besides the inside games, we found other ways to entertain ourselves, which mainly involved visiting all of the resort bars and restaurants ;) The resort itself was lovely, and we did try to enjoy it as much as we could when it was overcast or just lightly sprinkling.

Apparently, what Matt and I do in Mexico hasn't changed much since our honeymoon... ha! ;)

Even without the sun, we had a very relaxing time in Cancun and really enjoyed having uninterrupted time together.  We look forward to the next time we go and are going to make sure it is during the sunny season! :)
