NYE in NYC 2011

Last New Year's Eve, we went to a restaurant that had a fixed New Year's menu, let you keep your table until midnight (or later), had music, dancing, a champagne toast - the works. It was such a good time we decided to do the same thing this year, but in the effort of always trying new things, we chose a new restaurant, the Atlantic Grill. The food was phenomenal, the band was entertaining, the service was great. All in all we had a wonderful time, and are seriously thinking of just re-booking next New Year's Eve at the Atlantic Grill again.

Matt's App: some really yummy sushi roll (forget the specific fish now) topped with caviar

Carissa's App: scallops with super yummy sauces (again specifics forgotten at this point, but trust me - it was delicious :))

Matt's Entree: duck breast over duck risotto - lots of duck but really good (Matt says it was actually beyond "really good", and "if I was on death row, I would want this as my last meal".... he is sitting here right now making me write this ;))

Carissa's Entree: filet mignon topped with lump crab meat and bernaise sauce, sides of fingerling potatoes and asparagus - YUUUMMMEEEE!!!!

Matt's Dessert: champagne ice cream with berries (pretty good, but not as good as mine)

Carissa's Dessert: super yummy, awesome chocolate cake
