Detroit Rock Wedding

Labor Day we were in Detroit, MI for our dear friends' wedding. We had the pleasure of seeing our friends Ryan and Daniel tie the knot, got the added benefit of seeing almost all of our Dallas friends AND got to add another state to our list (only 35 more to go!).

On Friday night, we joined some of our other baseball-loving friends at Comerica Park for a Detroit Tigers game. (Seeing a game in all US baseball stadiums is one of our goals as well. Sadly, we have only been to 3, so we have A WAYS to go on this goal.) The Detroit Tigers stadium is pretty awesome. I would say it is the best professional baseball field I have been to. Again, I can only compare it to two others, but you can tell for yourself in the pics below that is a pretty cool stadium.

Saturday was the big event. The ceremony was lovely, and the reception was amazing. It was held at The Henry Ford Museum, which is beautiful and interesting all by itself, but having a reception there is even better. When you weren't dancing, partying, eating/drinking, you got to stroll around the museum and see all the awesome cars, planes, trains, Oscar Mayer Wiener mobile... all kinds of fun stuff ;) Most importantly, it was so good to see Ryan and Daniel married, happy and having a good time with family and friends. I love celebrating my friends :)

Beautiful Bride :)

Happy Couple :)

Otto (can I still call her that?) is the best air guitarist ever!

Love my girls!!

Sunday morning we got to have brunch with our Dallas peeps before we all headed off to ...Dallas, Naples and NYC. It was like old times... in Tuscany (inside joke ;)). There was a lot of reminiscing about shenanigans of the night before, lots of laughter, and even some funny dreams ;) (again, inside joke).

All in all, a great weekend. I miss my Dallas friends terribly and am so thankful for weekends like these where we (or at least most of us) get to be together again for at least a little while :)
