2011 US Open (kinda)

Wednesday, Sept 7, we had tickets to the 2011 US Open. We were super excited as N Djokovic (#1) and R. Nadal (#2) were both scheduled to play that day (in separate matches). How cool that we would get to go to the US Open and see the current #1 and #2 players?!? Well, that didn't really happen. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us that day. A little after noon, we got to watch about 17 minutes of play between Nadal and Muller before it was rained out for the rest of the day. Not only was it rained out for the rest of the day, but they didn't officially call it 'rained out' until 5PM. So, we stuck around all day hoping to get to see some more play, but oh well. We did help the US Open economically by buying some 2011 merchandise :) It was still a fun day, and we have requested 2012 tickets to replace our cancelled tickets (here's hoping!).
