The Big 30!

Well, it happened. I guess it was inevitable. I turned 30 :) Actually, it wasn't that bad. Even though I was all the way in NYC, my family and friends in Texas helped to make my 30th birthday very special with all of their birthday wishes. I had much FB love from friends. I even received 'in-person' phone calls from a few (shout out to Noelle and Sarah :)). I got birthday cards, 2 bouquets of flowers, and Matt got me the watch I have been wanting for a while now.

For my birthday dinner, we went to The Tangled Vine. It is a nice little wine bar with organic and biodynamic wines and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Matt had the Savignon Blanc. I tried a Pinot sampler of 3 deep red Pinots. We munched on a cheese tray, Pork Monditos (Pork Sliders), and the Steak Tagliata. We ended with Semolina Strawberry cake. It was divine :)

Below are some pics of cards, flowers and my pretty watch. We continue the celebration on Saturday with a dinner cruise on the Hudson River. I will let you know how that goes :)
