Lake Tahoe Vacation

In August, Matt and I went to Lake Tahoe for a belated birthday trip (for me) and semi-babymoon.  Matt hates that word, 'babymoon'.  He says it sounds so fatalistic, as if a baby is the end of our fun, carefree times ;)  I say we are still going to make room for fun and travel once baby is here, and that 'babymoon' just means we are celebrating an important life change ;)  Anyways... we have always wanted to go to Lake Tahoe as we hear from everyone in this area how wonderful it is - and it was!  Lake Tahoe is gorgeous, breathtaking, relaxing, fun and inviting all at the same time :)

We stayed on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in the small little town of Incline Village, NV.  Incline Village was a good place to stay as it was easy to get around the town and everyone was very friendly and welcoming.  Also, the views of the lake were amazing.  We did what you are supposed to to in Tahoe - relaxed by the water (either lake side or pool side), went on lots of hikes and soaked up the local culture :)

So, obviously Lake Tahoe is where the rich come to play and/or retire.  Maybe we'll retire there one day... BIG DREAMS :)

Lake Tahoe was fabulous and we do hope to go back soon.  We saw lots of families there with kids of all ages.  It should be an easy trip to take Lilly when she gets older.
