Sedona and Baseball

In early April, we took a road trip to Sedona for a mini-vacation.  We'd always heard how beautiful Sedona was, neither of us had been to Arizona and we could easily take a small trip down to Phoenix to add a new ballpark to our list.  So, it was a go, and it turned out to be a lovely and relaxing trip.

Sedona and the Grand Canyon

Sedona is gorgeous!!  And, sooo relaxing.  It is the perfect place to be in nature and just be.  We took one day to drive out to the Grand Canyon, which was a 2-hour drive, but in gorgeous country.  So, not a bad drive at all.  The other days in Sedona, we made sure to get in as many hikes as possible and just enjoy the beauty of this place.

Diamondbacks Game

We were in Phoenix for less than 24 hours, but the main point of driving down was to see a baseball game.  We watched the Diamondbacks host the Chicago Cubs.  Sadly, I think there were more Chicago Cubs fans there than Diamondbacks fans; I'm not sure Phoenix has a strong baseball fan base.  But, it was great to see a new stadium and get closer to our goal of seeing a game in all US baseball stadiums :)

All in all, it was a very successful trip - we added a state to our lists, we saw an iconic natural wonder of the American country and we added a ballpark to our lists.  Relaxing yet productive vacation :)
