Pharrs in Philly

As I have mentioned many times, one of mine and Matt's lifetime goals is to see a baseball game in every ballpark in the US (and the one or two in Canada). We realize that we are fairly close to quite a few ballparks here in NYC, yet haven't really taken advantage of that. So, this past Saturday we took a day trip to Philadelphia to watch the Phillies host the Cincinnati Reds. It was fun to do a spontaneous road trip (or bus trip) to Philly and catch a baseball game.

The weather wasn't that great - kind of drizzled off and on - but nothing too bad. The Citizens Bank Park is actually quite nice. It is designed similar to a lot of the newer parks (reminds me of the Ballpark at Arlington and the Detroit Tigers ballpark), but it beats a lot of other ballparks as far as vendor options. They had all kinds of good eats and drinks to choose from. Matt said he liked it because it was designed as more of a small ballpark - which I guess I can see, but it still seemed pretty big to me :)

Unfortunately, the Phillies didn't have as much fun as we did. They lost 10-0 :(
