Celebrating :)

These past few weeks, we have had lots of reasons to celebrate. To be honest, we always have reason to celebrate, as we are very blessed and happy. But, we've had 'official' reasons to celebrate lately :)

Texas Independence Day
For those of you who don't know, Texas Independence Day is March 2 :) And, something else you may not know, Pat Green has held a Texas Independence Day concert here in NYC for the past 5 years. There are actually a lot of Texans in New York, and this concert has been sold out (packed!) when we've attended the last two years. This year, our friend, Trish (a Baltimore native, who lived in TX for 13 years and has now moved to NYC), attended with us. We had a very fun time, and as always happens when I attend a Texas Country concert - I missed Texas! :)

Randy Rogers Band - love!

Pat Green... to a seriously packed house

My love :)

Another love :)

35 Years Young!
Matt's 35th birthday was this past Wednesday, March 6. Now he can run for president :) But seriously, I think birthdays are a nice excuse to celebrate someone and make them feel a little extra special. So, we went out for a nice dinner at a local place in our neighborhood on Matt's actual birthday, plus he got some fun gifts from me. And of course, our families also sent him some birthday love from Texas. AND, we have our 'official' birthday celebrations still to come this weekend. Can't wait!

Birthday Goodies from Me

Birthday Goodies from Matt's Parents
This book may look boring to most of us, but Matt really likes it :)

Some fancy Bose earbuds. He really likes these, too.

Noelle's Adventures
Our dear friend Noelle, who we knew in Dallas and have loved living/being/hanging out in the same city again these past 3 years, is moving to Singapore to pursue new adventures in love and life. We are very excited for her, and wanted to celebrate with her. We all went out to the Breslin Bar & Dining Room last weekend and had yummy food, good drinks and friendly conversation. The star of the night was this Scotch Egg. I know that sounds weird, but it was so freaking good. Here is the definition of a Scotch Egg: hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. Delicious, right?

Yummy yummy yummy
(I guess if you're a vegetarian, you may not be getting the same joy out of this ;))

But seriously, we are very happy for our friend Noelle and her new, exciting adventures in Singapore :)

Hope everyone is doing well! I will blog more after our 'official' birthday celebrations this weekend.
