Today is the official end of my school semester, and I only have one more semester to go - YAY :) I managed to finish this semester with an A- (another YAY!), and I interviewed for and was selected for an internship program during the winter break. YAY again! All in all, things are going pretty well, and I really can't wait to graduate in June and become a nurse!
So, what's next...
Well, in the very near future, we are having a small Texas Christmas in NYC dinner party tomorrow night with our friends, Noelle and Trish. This is my first dinner party to host ever. Yes, I know there are only two guests (and it is really more of a potluck than me actually providing dinner)... but I am still excited to be hosting my first 'dinner party'.
In the near future, we have a week-long trip to Dallas planned over Christmas. I am soooo looking forward to seeing family and friends. In fact, I have been in an impossible-to-dampen-my-spirits mood for the last week just thinking about our trip home. Can't wait!
In January of the new year, I start a mini-mester that I swear they invented classes for just so we can't have a break (have to take some Nursing Trends class where we go over resumes and what not - are you kidding me?!?) And, in mid-January, I get to start my nursing internship at Mt. Sinai Queens. I did clinical rounds at this hospital last semester and really liked it. I am excited to go back. Also, this will give me the experience of two internships in nursing areas across Maternity/Labor&Delivery/Postpartum/NICU/Peds/Medical-Surgical/ER/ICU. My resume is starting to shape up nicely :)
In the not so near future, graduation in June and Greece!! Many of you may have heard me talking about a trip to Greece which Matt and I are planning as a combo 5-year anniversary and graduation trip. Can't wait - YAY!! :)
You can tell my good mood around the holiday season (and at the end of the semester) - this blog post is full of optimism, YAYs and "can't waits" ;)
Hope everyone is well. YAY! :)
