Exploring Central Park

After our successful site-seeing the weekend before, we decided to continue our efforts to explore more of our city. While each of us runs in Central Park 3-4 times a week, there is soooo much to this park, and we are only seeing a small part of it. We are always saying how we need to explore the different areas of Central Park (zoo, castles, cottages, lakes, parks within the park, monuments, etc). This weekend gave us a great opportunity to do just that as the weather was pleasant and sunny.

So, which part to explore? On our runs, I always pass by the sign for Belvedere Castle and have been wanting to go there for quite some time... so, we did! We passed some really nice scenic areas of the park on the way to Belvedere Castle, and there were some pretty spectacular views of the city/park from the castle.

While we may be running out of good weather weekends for exploring, we will definitely make an effort to see more of Central Park either this year or next Spring :)
