Some of you are probably thinking, "What? I thought she was already going to nursing school?!?" Well - yes and no. As most things, it has been a process. First, I had to apply to LaGuardia, which I was accepted as an "Undeclared Health Science: Nursing" major. This meant I was accepted as a Health Science student who has the intent of going into the Nursing Program. Then, after completing the required pre-clinical Key Courses (aka prerequisites), you can apply to progress into the Clinical Phase of the Nursing Program, which is what I have just been accepted into. So, now I am an official Nursing major and in the Nursing Program - YAY :)
I start clinicals (12-hr training days at real hospitals) in September. I will have lots of long days, long hours and lots of work for the next two years, but I am soooo excited!
Matt and I are going out to celebrate tonight. Lucky for us, it is Restaurant Week. So, we get to have a nice, celebratory dinner on the cheap! (Or, cheaper anyways ;))
Congrats!!!!!
